Ashley Thorpe speaks to Fangoria (again) about his British Horror and his next film the Dartmoor-based The Hairy Hands. And two of his films have been nominated for the Horror UK film festival
The high-pitched horror of Ashley Thorpe’s The Screaming Skull will get an airing at top independent film festival Raindance, on Thursday, October 8, at the Apollo West End Cinema, Lower Regent street, London.
Ashley Thorpe’s fourth Penny Dreadful animation, The Hairy Hands, which is based on the Devon legend, is due to have the script and budget signed off by South West Screen on June 15, but there is still concern that the name may alienate audiences outside the Devon region.
The Fangoria Weekend of Horrors, which is on in Manhattan, New York, tonight and tomorrow (Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6), has selected Ashley Thorpe’s Scayrecrow and The Screaming Skull in a back-to-back screening in its film room.
The award nominated Scayrecrow by Ashley Thorpe is among the three films he’s offering for download from his Carrion Films site from tomorrow (March 4). The others film are the Screaming Skull and the earlier The Vampire.
