The he 2018 Unrestricted View Film Festival will kick-start on Monday 23rd April with the film, Pickups (starring Aidan Gillen), showing at 7pm at Screen on the Green. From there, the week will celebrate independent films across three Islington venues (The Hen & Chickens, The Screen on the Green, and the Vintage Mobile Cinema).

Lots of people, myself included, were unsure about Danny Boyle’s plans for his 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, named Isles of Wonder. It seems we should never have doubted the abilities or vision of this brilliant filmmaker: the ceremony was visually spectacular, energetic and funny. The British are coming!
