For the festival’s 10th anniversary event in 2025, Simon Beer, managing director at Bigwave Marketing and a film fan, had sponsored a brand-new website for the festival, with two years support.

Live!

That new website is now live!

The newly launched website is a treasure trove for film producers and enthusiasts. Discover the captivating history of the festival, get to know the dedicated team behind the scenes, and explore the roster of past award winners.

Insightful conversations

The site also features a selection of award-winning films to watch and a dedicated page for film industry interviews. Here, you’ll find insightful conversations with industry professionals from around the globe, along with a wealth of useful links.

New talent

In their ongoing commitment to fostering new talent, the ERFF is developing a student film showcase page. Already, 10 remarkable films from students across the South West have been submitted, promising a glimpse into the future of South West filmmaking.

The English Riviera Film Festival director John Tomkins expressed excitement about the new website. “Simon attended several festival events and then generously offered the support of Bigwave Marketing,” John told D&CFilm. “We are delighted with the new site and believe it provides a fantastic platform to showcase the future of the English Riviera Film Festival.”

Adding, a heartfelt thank you to Simon, along with Lee Potter, Laura Fry, and Emily Guppy, from Bigwave’s web development department for their collaboration with the festival team in bringing the new website to life.

Inspiring

Simon Beer, Bigwave Marketing | B Corp™, said: “We are really proud to support the English Riviera Film Festival and everything it brings to the Bay. It is a great showcase of what people in Torbay can achieve, and it’s brilliant to see it inspiring young people to get into film and the wider creative industries.”

The English Riviera Film Festival returns in December with an afternoon and evening of events in collaboration with Info Film, South Devon College, Devon and Cornwall Film, and Devon Film Office.

Legacy

With Bigwave Marketing as a proud sponsor, the festival is poised to continue its legacy, inspiring filmmakers and audiences alike for years to come.
