Dan Aykroyd talks to South West filmmakers | Who Ya Gonna Call… LIVE
South West podcast Who Ya Gonna Call… LIVE, has bagged Dan Aykroyd as a special guest as it goes beyond the veil of Ghostbusters into what inspired the film, whose ectoplasm spawned a ground-breaking franchise.
On Sunday 1 November – what better day? – Dan and parapsychologist Dr Ciarán O’Keeffe will take part in a live conversation exploring Ghostbusters, the paranormal, unexplained experiences, belief and the stories that have shaped their very different relationships with the supernatural.
Soulhider
Dan, whose long interest in the supernatural was key in the Ghostbusters development, will also talk about his brand-new novel, Soulhider. “Giving us the chance to explore the ideas and inspirations behind the book as part of this very special evening,” say the organisers.

Ask questions and hang out
“The ethos behind it is tapping into our contacts and giving the public the opportunity to ask questions and hang out with the people with the ‘tools and the talent’ behind the making of Ghostbusters,” filmmaker Claire Bueno told D&CFilm.
“The plan for the new year is take it outside of Ghostbusters to other films,” she confided.
If their Ghostbusters docs and book is anything to go by, the Who Ya Gonna Call… LIVE shows offer insight, intrigue and info for any film fan, let alone the Ghostbuster massive.
The Buenos – the brother sister duo of Claire and Anthony – have made the heart-warming and eye-opening documentary Cleanin’ Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters, with the forthcoming Too Hot To Handle: Remembering Ghostbusters II being eagerly awaited.
