As a summer-time hotspot, Torbay has been the venue of some big musical events. But it’s in the nitty gritty that the documentary rises and the heart beats. Within the texture of the film there’s a 70s supergroup and a present-day rapper who connect through words, rhyme, rythms and beats. Along with a host of musicians and music lovers who enrich the cultural landscape and creative economy.

The Torbay-focused film looks at the three towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixton to delve in the musical world of the past 50 years. And that director John Tomkins has bagged over 100 contributors and stories from more than 50 locations is testament to a scene that richly rumbles on without any pomp, but with loads of purpose.
