‘Rocketshed’ is one of seven films selected this year as part of Exeter Phoenix Digital’s Film Commission. They provide funding and support for the filmmakers and the films will premiere at their Two Short Nights Film Festival in December.
The film is being written and directed by Dom Lee and follows six-year-old Jack and his Dad as they sit in their ‘Rocketshed’, a garden shed they’ve converted into a rocketship. As the countdown timer ticks down though it is clear not is all as it seems…
Dom is currently looking for a few cast and crew members for the film:
CAST
An actor to play the Dad, someone with a playing range of late 20’s to late 30’s. More information will be provided to those who apply.
CREW
-Sound recordist/boom operator.
-Production designer. Helping to design the look of the shed and sourcing props.
For those who are interested please send an email to Dom: hello@domlee.co.uk
Anyone applying for the Dad role should send a recent headshot and ideally a showreel or links to previous film work you’ve done. Filming will take in place in Exeter or Crediton either in late June or mid July.
Dom has recently completed a short film Jam Session, which will be showing at Poltimore Festival on the 5th June. It’s a very different type of film than Rocketshed will be!
