Filmmaker Dom Lee is in pre-production of his next short film Jam Session and he’s on the look out for some cast members.
It’s a pretty simple premise, says Dom, in which four rocker friends meet up and hold a ‘jam session’.
While the film does have a bit of dialogue, it is primarily a visual piece, with a probable running time of around five minutes. More details will be given to those being considered.
Filming is provisionally set to take place in Paignton, late October.
“I’m looking to cast four roles (three male and one female). Age wise I’m open to anyone applying from 18 to around 50. The male lead has the most dialogue, with the other characters playing more supporting roles.
“All of the characters are ‘Rockers’, but you do not need to know how to play a musical instrument! There is, however, a very high chance you will be sporting highly questionable 80s style mullets and/or moustaches,” says Dom.
Those who have read the script have responded very positively to it.
Alongside actors Dom’s also on the look out for songs to use during the course of the film.
“I’m looking for bands or artists in the South West who have either Rock/Metal or 80’s style tracks which they have written themselves,” says Dom.
