The films of the fantastic Oddbodies dwell in a weird and slightly scary crepuscular (that dimsy, to you) world, so our hairs stood on end to hear that they’re in the midst of a new project. And you can imagine where our hairs were when we also heard that you can join in with the film through its crowdfunding project.
The film is called A Penny For Them, a darkly comic and slightly twisted tale of greed, fear, Vikings and taxes
An uptight English businessman is troubled by recurring nightmares of endlessly running for his life through a foreboding wilderness, chased by some dark and malevolent force. Distraught and exhausted, he goes to see a Scandinavian psychotherapist specialising in sleep problems. She hypnotizes him in an attempt to get to the root of these anxieties, and what she discovers takes them both on a journey of unexpected consequence.
There are loads of lovely ‘rewards’ to entice people to support them – including actually playing a Viking in the film, limited edition prints, treasure maps, magical runes, and of course, the ubiquitous executive producer credit for anyone out there with big pockets!
Go to the A Penny For Them crowdfunder site to check out the full list of enticements, and help Oddbodies add to their idiosyncratic, charming and twisted films.
