The first Plymouth Film Festival -which isn’t the first film festival in Plymouth, as we wrongly and dunder-headedly said in a previous article -is firing up the projectors ready for action.
Following on from film fest feasts such as Flipside, Motion Plymouth, and Start, to name but three -sorry for the omissions! – the inaugural Plymouth Film Festival will take place at the Plymouth Arts Centre on Saturday, May 17, 2014.
There’s a pretty exciting range of films being shown in four categories, starting at 11am with Best of the South West, followed by Documentary at 1pm; Student films at 3pm and Fiction at 5pm. With six awards up for grabs.
Pop over to the Plymouth Film Festival site to get a full list of the films featured, but we can tell you it includes some great and entertaining work.
And for all you who are keen to know more about the local filmmaking scene, the final screening will be followed by the award presentation and networking event in the Plymouth Arts Centre bar.
