Exciting news! Carrion Films is putting together the cast for Borley Rectory, and you could be a part of it!
They’re looking for people with the right look and (preferably) acting experience to play a range of parts in the film.
If you’ve been following the project and their Indiegogo campaign you won’t be shocked to find out that their budget doesn’t stretch to paying anybody, but you will get a credit and if their previous work is anything to go by guaranteed international festival exposure.
The film stars Reece Shearsmith (League of Gentlemen, Psychoville, Inside No 9), Nicholas Vince (Hellraiser, Nightbreed) and renowned Hammer historian and actor Jonathan Rigby as Harry Price. The film also boats a narration by Julian Sands (Room with a View, Naked Lunch, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and an original soundtrack by Steven Severin (Siouxsie and the Banshees).
Director Ashley Thorpe told D&CFilm: “We’d initially planned to start filming much earlier, in the new year in fact, but the recent birth of my little girl Lily Wednesday and Reece Shearsmith’s busy TV schedule has meant pushing filming back to mid May.
“We’re not looking for ‘models’. People from that age had a certain ‘look’ and I don’t want the film to be populated by the usual-looking 20-somethings that we always see. We’re looking for characters.
“It’s been a long tiring road getting this project off the ground, we’ve had a wealth of setbacks, funding let-downs, the project all but fell flat on its face a couple of times, but we’re finally up, running and looking forward to making something truly weird and wonderful.”
