Half-Cut Cinema Showreel 06.12.13 from Half-Cut Cinema on Vimeo.
Half-Cut Cinema, the community filmmaking and screening project based in Porthleven, West Cornwall, is back due to popular demand.
With the motto ‘you make it, we screen it’, Half-Cut Cinema aims to promote the joy of filmmaking by encouraging everyone to experiment in making their own films and submitting for selection for a screening in a fun, filmic evening of cinematic celebration!
The next Half-Cut Cinema event takes place at The Ship Inn, Porthleven on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 9pm.
Danny and Amanda, the power behind Half-Cut Cinema, say: “It’s not about a final polished film -it’s all about the enjoyment of participating, having fun being creative and celebrating trying something new or something a bit different.
“Getting everyone together in a really supportive environment through the screening of our films will be a very special event and a proud moment for all those involved. We are very much looking forward to seeing the films that are produced, and meeting the filmmakers behind them.”
Submit your film or pop along, first time and accomplished filmmakers welcome. Follow Half-Cut Cinema on Facebook, and take a look at at the December 2013 showreel to get a flavour.
