Seeing, it is often said, is believing. And filmmakers know the value of images in conveying a story. That’s why Nokia put their new Lumia 920 in the hands of London crane operator Eugene to experience his crane’s eye view of the world.
Eugene watches stories unfold beneath him, and sees people and the rush hour come and go, and ‘if Mr and Mrs are still arguing’.
He has a unique perspective, and it’s hard to explain to someone what it’s like to be up there unless you show them, he says. This is where the Nokia Lumia 920 comes in.
Because of the weather conditions it was important to him that he could operate the Nokia Lumia 920 even with his gloves on, and he says taking video with the phone is very easy, and it’s very steadying.
“It seemed to take any shake I had, out of it,” said Eugene.
Even in low light the Nokia Lumia 920 still managed to capture strong images.
There’s more to a smartphone that pictures and images, and Eugene demonstrates the use of Nokia City Lens, which points out hotels, restaurants, bars and other sights in the landscape.
