The riches-to-rags yet garishly watchable documentary The Queen of Versailles is getting a pop-up cinema airing East Devon village of Farringdon.
‘Never has grotesque wealth looked so unenviable, or its removal been so entertaining,’ said Steven Rose of the documentary in the Guardian.
The film follows the descent of the Siegel family as they suffer at the hands of the 2008 economic downturn, and their excessive lifestyle is exposed.
The pop-up screening is hosted by the Farrington Society of Arts, and takes place in the Farringdon Village Hall on Friday, November 16 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5. Call 01395 239181 to book and pop over to the Farrington Society of Arts for more details.
