The Chagford Film Festival kicks off on Monday, September 24 for six days of super cinema fun in the Dartmoor town.
The screenings and events are amazing opportunities for film fans and filmmakers to network and learn stuff.
The ‘eye-poppingly brilliant’ workshops include a puppet making session with Wendy Froud, designer of Yoda in Star Wars, Miss Piggy, the characters in the Jim Henson films Dark Crystal and Labyrinth among many other amazing puppets.
There’s also a free James Bond workshop with Oscar-winning sound designer Norman Wanstall -who worked on six Bond films including DrĀ No and Goldfinger -and Paul Inglis, art director on Quantum Of Solace and the soon to be released Bond film Skyfall as well as Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, Alfonso Cuaron’s Children Of Men and TV series Game of Thrones.
And a free workshop on making a film from start to finish with renowned documentary maker Stephen Saunders.
Plus some brilliant films and a Q&A with Johannes Roberts -a young British film director and writer, described by acclaimed critic Kim Newman as being the man to ‘rejuvenate the twisted shrub of British horror’.
