The Invictus Trust is one of 25 charities selected to take part in the seventh series of the Untold Stories scheme, which has produced more than 150 films for small charities working in a wide range of areas including disability, community conflict, race relations, sport, arts and the environment.
Sharon Cowburn, Invictus trustee said: ‘We are delighted to be involved in Media Trust’s Untold Stories scheme, because as a relatively new charity this offers us the opportunity to tell our story in an innovative, artistic style to connect with teenagers and work towards removing the stigma so often associated with mental health.
“We are so excited to begin working with Will Halfacree, our director/producer, to develop a film that The Invictus Trust can use to raise our profile, generate much needed funds and lobby for support.’
Caroline Diehl, chief executive and founder of Media Trust, said: ‘Untold Stories is a unique and inspirational initiative and we are delighted to have Sainsbury’s as our partner this year. Small charities like The Invictus Trust play a key role in supporting communities across the UK and Media Trust’s Untold Stories is a rare opportunity for them to tell their story to wide audience.’
