Devon film Mort-Gage has secured a US Premiere. Playing alongside films from the USA, Korea, Germany & Canada, Mort-Gage, directed by David Salas, is the sole representative from the UK at the Who Likes Short Shorts? film festival in Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, November 19.
Mort-Gage stars Kevin J Horsham as a former terrorist turned informer tracked down by a young journalist played by Nick Myles. It was made in Devon by a multi-award winning crop of Devon filmmakers, including Benjamin Borley, Robin Whenary, Tobit Emmens and Damo Cross with funding from the Exeter Phoenix Short Film Bursary and Devon County Council.
This looks to be a good season for screenings for the group. Several of their recent films are playing at Exeter’s Two Short Nights Film Festival at the Exeter Phoenix.
Shame is playing at the International Open Screening 2 of Two Short Nights 2011 on Thursday, December 1.
Until the Dawn is playing at the The Phoenix 2011 Premiere on Friday, December 2.
The group is currently in pre-production of their latest film Landscape, a film about art and success which hopes to show the world the best that Dartmoor has to offer.
