Former Govyn Kernewek Award winning filmmaking Brett Harvey is in the process of finishing his first feature, a Cornish black comedy thriller called Weekend Retreat.
The aim is to finish the film by autumn and to start entering it into festival in 2012, with a ultimate view of gaining a cinema release.
The story follows a couple on a much needed break to rebuild their relationship with a weekend in a picturesque house in the beautiful Cornish countryside. Unfortunately, step brothers Kevin and Gary Tregidger have their eye on the same house to burlges and change their own fortunes.
The film stars Esther Hall (Rome, Waking The Dead, Spooks) Dominic Coleman (Psychoville, Special People, Clubbed) and Dudley Sutton (Lovejoy, The Football Factory, Dean Spanley).
Produced by o-region, the Cornwall-based production company which has had a hand in plenty of award-winning shorts and the critically acclaimed The Midnight Drives.
