Deity, Kirsty Symonds’ Kate Bush and Madonna inspired video to her own music, is set to be premiered at the Spanish Barn, Torre Abbey, Torquay, before being screened at the Apollo Paignton.
“The filming took place at Churston as I felt the location had an epic feel to it,” said Kirsty, who as well as making the film, designed the costumes.
Kirsty told D&CFilm: “I used a dystopia themed war eventually going into utopia.
“The Deity, a god of the universe is upset by the continues circle of war. She eventually sends the futuristic soldiers off and then the religions are united, which steams from a monotheistic view. The Deity was linked to the religions by symbols on her arms.”
Catch Deity at the Spanish Barn, Torre Abbey, Torquay between June 27 and 29, and it should be online towards the end of July.
