A male and a female actor -both aged 25-35 -are needed for short film to be filmed in Devon, at Budleigh Salteron near Exeter.

Called Tuesday 21st, the film has been written by Ben Borley and will be directed by David Salas -both award-winning filmmakers -and asks the question what it means to be a friend.

As part of a wider project in using media to address Mental Health issues in a new, relevant and engaging way Tuesday 21st is a film that seeks to ask questions and promote debate about suicide and mental well being in general.

The story follows a man and a women who are drawn back to a beach they used to frequent, hoping to discover a clue that will unlock the suicide of a friend.

Tormented by his death and their own roles in his self-annihilation they fight among themselves. Their relationship poisoned by an event that neither one of them can understand or accept. As dogs walkers pass them and children play they try to find a way to reconcile their own friendship in the face of a decision and a death that has made them question their own moral natures and whether they could or did do enough.

Tuesday 21st is a short film commissioned and funded by the Devon RRIG. It will be used as part of a slate of films looking at provoking open debate about mental health issues. Made by a crew of internationally award-winning film-makers, the film will be of a high technical quality and will be submitted to Short Film Festivals worldwide.

There’s no pay, but food and travel expenses will be available for the successful applicant.

The film will shot over four days between Thursday, February 10 and Sunday, February 12.
