Cast coming together for We Bought a Zoo, plus release date set
There have been developments in the We Bought a Zoo film, based on the Ben Mee‘s novel of the same name about when he first took over the Dartmoor Zoo.
Apparently, Thomas Haden Church (you may remember him as Sandman in Spider-man 3) has joined the movie, with is set for a December 23, 2011 release date.

There are also rumours that Amy Adams (Enchanted) has been offered the female lead. But by all accounts director Cameron Crowe has got a shortlist of others to play opposite lead man Matt Damon.
The Story of We Bought a Zoo is Ben’s story of his acquisition of a 12-bedroom mansion on Dartmoor for his wife, two children, brother and 76-year-old mother. Along with the house came the 30-acre Dartmoor Wildlife Park. During the process of coming to terms with running a zoo Ben’s wife is diagnosed with terminal cancer and becomes increasingly ill.
