Exeter filmmaker David Salas picked up the SHOOT, the Totnes Film Festival, award for his film Uncomfortable.
SHOOT took place at The Barn, Dartington, and the Barrelhouse, Totnes, and the screening was followed by an audience vote.
Commenting on the win, The Barn website says: “David’s film is beautifully and sensitively shot with an incredible eye to detail. It depicts a husband’s reaction to the sudden death of his wife, and the emotional processes involved as he realises his loneliness”
As a reward, David’s film will be screened with a main feature at The Barn later on in the autumn. Uncomfortable also picked up the Two Short Nights 2009 Best Bursary Film.
