With the British Animation Awards coming to Exeter, Plymouth, Falmouth, Totnes in the next couple of weeks, we thought we’d give you a bit of heads up.
The British Animation Awards Public Choice tour makes a trip to 27 venues throughout the UK. There are four such venues in the D+CFilm stamping ground: The Poly, Falmouth; the Exeter Phoenix, Exeter; Peninsual Arts Cinema, Plymouth; and The Barn, Totnes.
One of the bonuses for the region is that Cornish animator and Falmouth School of Art graduate Petra Freeman is up for an award.
Petra’s film Tads Nest, the story of a place where eels mature before being compelled to return to a location using only memories of sensations to guide them, is part of the Programme 2 of the BAA public tour circuit and is shortlisted for Best Sound Design.
Pop along to the British Animation Awards site for more, and visit the venues for tickets and times.
