There’s a daily screening of MA films in the Jill Craigie Cinema, Plymouth University, until Thursday, November 5, and there’s moving image art in the Peninsula Gallery. Both events are free.
On Wednesday, November 4, at 5.30pm there’s a preview of Nightscape, a feature-length fantasy epic by MA students Dom Lenoir and Tim Osgood.
With influences from The Lord of the Rings, Nightwatch and Daywatch, Nightscape is said to be a visually exciting film which boasts originality and ambition from the hands of two students as part of their MA in Contemporary Film Practice. It comes in at 1 hour 35 minutes.
The story goes that after an ancient battle between the two Gods of light and dark, the world is left in the hands of the Dark Lord. Corruption spreads until the present day, where an aspiring comic book writer is thrown into a world beyond his own, one that does not even know it needs saving.
