Cornish filmmaker Arran Hawkins has interviewed 15 people about their beard growth for a new documentary about facial hair.
Arran told thisiscornwall: “It’s hair that comes out of your face. It’s just weird.”
Uh, ever heard of eyebrows, Arran?
He continued: “I talked to Michael Eavis and he said he decided to grow his beard bigger as he lost the hair on his head.
“I am always interested in how different people have different styles, can grow different lengths, at different rates, and in different places. Some guys can’t grow them at all.
“I want to find out why other people have beards. The first time I had one was because I couldn’t afford to shave and it was a way of saving money.”
Fascinating stuff. He is apparently eager to speak to “anyone who has anything to say about beards”.
So, let’s ask in a Jeremy Kyle-stylee. Are you a bearded man? Do you know a bearded man? Are you unable to grow a beard but want to? Are you starting to worry about the brevity of life?
If the answer to any of these questions is ‘yes’, contact Arran on 07891 701681.
