The Aeon Festival is calling for films for its sci-fi-themed extravaganza, which takes place in Crediton, August 28 -30.
But they’re not just after sci-fi, they want all kinds of stuff to screen throughout the festival: video-art, documenatries, stuff for kids, feature length films and animation. As well as sound art work (the cinema tent will transform into a chill out space at night). So basically, everything.
They told us that there is no limit or minimum requirements, although you’re to bear in mind that if you’re send a durational piece it may not be suitable unless you think it may fit in the context of a chill out space.
Ideally they say they want your films on a data disk so they can be easily transferred on to one DVD showreel, if this is impossible, then an ordinary DVD is ok.
If you would like your films returned after the festival then please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope. They also ask for the following information:
Date of completion
Length of film
List of credits
List of previous screenings (if any)
A 50 word blurb
Your email address/ contact details
Anything you feel may be relevant (perhaps an image)
The deadline is Friday, July 31. If you don’t hear anything from us then I’m afraid you haven’t been selected this time.
Send your films to:
