Hugh Ellis, screenwriter of the award-winning film Summer, will be discussing the impact of new media and media ownership with actor and director Peter Ellis at the Exeter Phoenix on Wedensday, July 1 at 2pm.
Before working on Summer, which was made by Ken Loach’s company Sixteen Films, Hugh wrote scripts for telly, including episodes of The Bill and The Morticians’ Tea Party as well as writing and directing short films.
Peter Ellis has spend a career in theatre and for TV, including working as an actor with Ken Loach on In Two Minds.
This event should be right up the street of filmmakers, writers and media studies students.
It takes place in the Exeter Phoenix’s auditorium, and is free, but places are limited (even on a Wednesday afternoon). Tickets are available in advance from the box office on 01392 667080.
