Talk of its demise have been premature (or something like that). Animated Exeter, the animation showcase for the south west and beyond, is set to continue in 2010 with a new slicker, tighter and better look and feel.
Despite the main funder, Exeter City Council, unable to continue its same level of commitment to the festival, Animated Exeter is looking to the future.
The festival is well on the way to create a new organisational structure, and has already advertised for the post of education and training officer. And the fortnight of animation extravaganza in the city will be more focused.
Lee Morgan spoke to Animated Exeter organiser Susannah Shaw about the future of the festival.
