Top broadcast commissioners will be on hand to talk about the whole gamut of commissioning issues in at the National Martime Museum in Falmouth on Thursday April 2, between 6pm and 8.30pm.
The commissioners will talk about what they see as the future for their channel or platform and and reveal what they are looking for.
The panel at the events in consists: Lisa Sargood a BBC multiplatform executive in the Knowledge Group who specialises in factual, arts, music & religion: Rosie Allimonos, also a BBC multiplatform executive, but this time from the Fiction Group, specialising in drama, films and acquisitions; and Bethan Corney, Channel Five’s commissioning editor for factual
wildlife, natural history and oversees acquisitions across factual genres.
This high-powered group will tackle the knotty issues of the commission process and hot to become a suppliers, what are the opportunities for 2009 and beyond, and what is the secret of comming up a concept which is the next big hit? And much more, including their all round view on 360 commissioning (geddit?)
