The Apollo Cinema, the nine screen multiplex on the Paignton sea front, is 10 years old and is being deemed a ‘new millennium success’.
From January to December 2000 more than 300,000 people went through the doors of the cinema, according a correspondent from the Herald Express. To make way for it the Festival Theatre was demolished (it originally opened with a Black and White Minstrels show -how very Paignton).
Still, what is there to stay about a multiplex? Rather a lot, we at D+CFilm reckon.
