The Exeter Phoenix media bursaries are up for grabs for new and exciting ideas for films based on a new idea or treatment in any genre. The deadline for submissions is February 28.
And when they say any genre, they mean any genre – they even list them: narrative film, animation, documentary, experimental, visual art film, music video… etcetera, etcetera…
But what you get if you are successful in the pursuit of the bursary is £500 towards the budget of the film, and a heap of technical assistance: camera skills training, script development, directing and production advice as well as assisting with the use of lighting, sound, studio and post-production facilities. And a staff member will produce the project.
The one (obvious) rider is that you must reside in Devon and be prepared to produce the finished film within six months of the original submission.
