Prepare for Plan 9, not from Outer Space, but from the Exeter Phoenix media Centre. It is the arts centre’s very own monthly movie round up programme to be broacast over the Exeter Phoenix’s very own radio station. But don’t worry, you can hear it over the internet – apparently.
In today’s regular instalment the show will cover the 60 second movie soundtrack mash up, which was once a competition, is now set to be extended as an on-going project (with the top sounds getting played on Jo Loosemoor’s BBC Radio Devon show. David Salas will be on, talking about his Simple Lies Experiment, and Caroline Fabbro (who has been the brains behind this episode of Plan 9) will talk about the films at Exeter’s arts showcase the Umbrella Factory.
Also in the show will be Josh Gaunt, who will talk about Third Wave Collective films and introduce the group’s wildly ambitious and fun plan to make Third Wave films live on air next month.
The radio programme will go out between noon and 2pm today (Wednesday, January 14), with the launch of Animated Exeter later in the early evening, so it’s fitting that there will also be an animated discussion.
Find the show on the Phonic fm site.
