Wanna be the next Ant, Dec, Cat or Davina? Course you bloody don’t. But some people do and they’ll be logging on to eBay today to bid to become a Propeller TV presenter (we’ve never heard of it either – it’s on Sky 195 apparently).
Fledgling presenters can win a week of ‘slots’ presenting the channel’s primetime, nightly Red Carpet show, flagging up the latest work by film and television students to over eight million homes in the UK and 70 million across Europe. Of course, it’s beamed into the homes but whether anyone actually has their TV switched on is an entirely different matter.
Anyway, bidding started today and continues until February 13 with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support. The highest bidder receives a trip to Propeller’s studios in glamorous Immingham (wherever the hell that is), where they will meet the team, get an insight into TV presenting and programme-making and even record their own feature all about themselves.
To be in with a chance of winning, log on to eBay and place your bid for stardom! We can’t find it on there but we’re sure you will. The winner’s work will be screened on national television in the spring. Hooray!
