Dance of the Imp from Third Wave Collective on Vimeo. The Third Wave Collective, who encourage everyone to make a film in 90 minutes, have got three films onto Plymouth’s Big Screen. They are pAra NoiA, Dance of the Imp and In This World. The collective are still calling for budding (and not so Who knew Robert Shaw went to Truro School? Apparently Event Cornwall director Claire Eason-Bassett did, and knowing it adds that little extra homespun yarn quality to the Film on the Fal festival, which coincides with nine-day Fal River Festival and offers five films across four nights. John Tomkins’ Like an Angel film is set to premiere at the Spanish Barn, Torre Abbey, Torquay on Thursday May 28. Exeter film makers Ashley Thorpe and Toby De Burgh have been commissioned to produce new work as part of the UK Film Council’s Digital Shorts scheme. John Tomkins’ Like an Angel trailer has hit the screens and the film is set for its charity launch later this month. The Exeter Vue cinema is introducing a mystery movie night once a month, starting on Tuesday, May 5 – you won’t know what film you’re watching until the opening credits.
