Ashley Wing and Clayton Fussell have put out a call for cast and a make-up artist for their next project. Hot on the heels of his Best Film win in the FXhome awards, Ashley Wing has completed his latest film, a three-minute short called OMG about how our lives are controlled by mobile phones. We reckon the pitch was something along the lines of Born Free meets the Hounds of the Baskervilles… maybe… but the family run Dartmoor Zoological Park in Sparkwell is set to be the focus of Hollywood after the story of how it was set up was bought by Twentieth Century Fox. The film community is growing, and on the D+CFilm social network, David Salas – the brains behind the innovative Simple Lies Experiment – has posed the question of creating a self-funding filmmaking co-operative. Alex White’s short film In the Garden of Terrible Delights was premiered Kinky and Quirky’s burlesque Valentine’s Day bash in Exeter, on… er… Valentine’s Day. To celebrate with our own hunk of love, we thought we’d take a gander at some of Alex’s experiences making his first film, Deadly Illusions.
