Sinner Man from Luke Hagan on Vimeo. Here’s the latest video for Alex Gimson, Mr Sinner Man, from filmmaker Luke Hagan, who picked up an award for best student film at last year’s Two Short Nights film festival at the Exeter Phoenix for his film One Year On. This year’s Chagford Filmmaking Group film is a grippingly scary fairytale from Northumbria about a princess who gets turned into a dragon. The shoot takes place between August 11 and 16, and they are looking for boys and girls between 11 and 15 for roles in the film. Ashley Thorpe’s Scayrecrow is making a continental journey with a visit to Cannes’ Short Film Corner in this year’s Festival de Cannes. The University of Exeter’s student television station, XTV, has scooped four first place titles at the National Student Television Awards. Ashley Wing’s Poppies picked up the Best Film award from the FXhome 2009 awards. Apparently it’s the European Union’s Year of Creativity and Innovation and you’re going to need every ounce of that to win the €3,000 on offer for a film about European Entrepreneurship, which, given the current, economic situation, seems a bit of a hollow theme. Then, again, given the current economic situation, €3,000 is nothing |
