Talk of its demise have been premature (or something like that). Animated Exeter, the animation showcase for the south west and beyond, is set to continue in 2010 with a new slicker, tighter and better look and feel. Graphic artist and music theatre writer Daniel Loveday is set to team up with a troupe of animators and the Tale Valley Community Theatre in East Devon to create a 15-minute film combining animation, live action and an original score. Animated Exeter has an excellent record of engaging with schools and young people in the South West of England, increasing awareness of animation and the digital moving image. The company already has links with both primary and secondary schools in the area, as well as outreach and independent training providers. To continue, and to We picked this story off the D+CFilm social network, RedMunkey films are seeking two really strong actors to star in a music video promo for singer/songwriter Darren Fisher. The arty among you may have noticed an exhibition doing the Devon rounds called the Animal Gaze. The CCANW will be showing a special selection of ‘inventive and challenging short films and animations’ (18+) by 15 artists involved in the exhibition. Don’t expect Tom and Jerry dancing with Gene Kelly… it’s probably more Marley |
