Director Jerry Rothwell will present his award-winning documentary Heavy Load as part of the View From Here, at Alexandra Cinema, Newton Abbot, on Thursday, December 4, at 7pm.
“Shot over two years as the band Heavy Load record their first album The Queen Mother’s Dead, the film is a comedy of conflicting ambitions, capturing the seat and romance of playing in a band as they move out of the ghetto of disability club night to test whether their dreams can survive in the mainstream.”
