Fangoria have allowed a pdf of Devon filmmaker and writer Ashley Thorpe’s interview with Hammer legend Peter Sasdy, to be downloaded as part of Ashley’s bid to win a much-coveted horror industry Rondo award.
It was Ashley’s first face-to-face interview for the magazine, and to carry out the assignment he popped up to Bradford’s Fantastic Film Weekend, which was screening some of Peter’s most admired works including Countess Dracula, The Stone Tape and Hands of the Ripper.
Horror aficionado Ashley cherished the experience. “To get to watch an original print of Hammers ‘Hands of the Ripper’ sat beside its director is a memory I’ll always treasure,” he said.
