For Valentine's Day, Capitalism: A Love Story screening

Michael Moore's Capitalism A Love Story

Something for Valentine's Day, Michael Moore's Capitalism – A Love Story

Feeling all mushy for that damaging relationship this Valentine’s Day? The Transition Town Totnes film club is screening Michael Moore’s own love story, the one with Capitalism (we reckon he plays Ryan O’Neal… )

This year is the 20-year anniversary of Michael’s Roger & Me, and his Capitalism: A Love Story comes home to the issue he’s been examining throughout his career: the disastrous impact of corporate dominance on the everyday lives of Americans. But this time the culprit is much bigger than General Motors, and the crime scene is far wider than Flint, Michigan.

Our guess is there will be laughter and tears, and that’s even before the informal discussion at the end of the movie.

The film will be screened at the Dartmouth Inn (on the Plains) Totnes on Tuesday, February 14. Doors open at 7:30pm. Film starts 8.00pm. Entry £4 / £3 TTT Film Club
