Autumn Leaves: winner of the 48-Hour Film Challenge at Two Short Nights 2011 (short film)

Autumn Leaves still

Autumn Leaves: a film made in 48 hours incorporating a given theme, a prop and a line of text

Faced with making a movie in 48-hours, not many filmmakers would engage in some arts and crafts on the way, but that’s exactly what winning team Mosaic Machine did with their touching and lyrical film Autumn Leaves, which won the Two Short Nights 2011 48-Hour Film Challenge Award.

Films which took part in the 48-Hour Film Challenge need to include the theme ‘hero’, a key as a prop and the line ‘keep watch for further signs of them. Hopefully a further sighting will occur in the not too distant future.’

Take a look at the film (below) and see if you can spot them (this is just a bit of fun – we’ve got no prizes to give away)

Cameraman David Pimm said: “We had a fantastic little team, no sleep and a generally crazy weekend. It was a brilliant experience – thank you to everyone who helped us out!”
