The next CINE event is on the Saturday, June 11 at the Exeter Phoenix from 2pm-5pm. Better yet it’s FREE! This month’s event will see a selection of short films screening from all over the region as well as guest speaker, producer Paddy Robinson Griffin.

Paddy returns for a more in-depth look about film financing, and he’ll go into detail on budgeting, financing and the cast and crewing process.

The event also opens the floor to filmmakers to pitch their ideas for future projects, and to those seeking help for their future productions.

CINE is a screening and networking event. It aims to allow filmmakers, actors, crew, or anybody interested in film to find out what is happening in the region, show their films, pitch their ideas, put out calls for cast and crew, and meet other like-minded people in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

Getting involved
• If you have a film you would like to screen, email with a brief synopsis (up to 50 words) of the film/project, along with any other relevant information (also include a still from the film).

The screening is non-competitive and if it’s not possible to screen your film at this event we will screen it at the next. CINE are looking for films of all genres, but ask that films do not exceed 15 minutes in length. Films can be of any genre. Once your synopsis has been received you’ll be contacted for a copy of the film.
After each film has screened there will be an opportunity for Q&A so the CINE people would really appreciate it if the filmmaker, or someone closely associated with the film, could attend the event.

• If you have a project that you would like to present or discuss, email a short description (up to 50 words) of the project to

CINE kicks off at 2pm in the Exeter Phoenix Black Box on Saturday, June 11. If you would like to know more, visit the CINE website or check out the CINE Vimeo page.
