The Ipplepen Film Society is gearing up to screen its first film of the 2010 programme, and is looking to link in with the community and as many local filmmakers as possible.
The Ipplepen Film Society screening their first film in December, that Christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life. A little bit of the magic rubbed off, because the society secured more than £6,000 from the Big Lottery Fund and £500 from the Devon County Council Locality Fund.
The season of screenings begin with Slumdog Millionaire at Ipplepen Village Hall on Wednesday, March 17 at 7.30pm. Check out future screenings.
The group hopes to link with Ipplepen Primary School at some point in the future to show short films produced by pupils, as well as tie in community and screen the work by local filmmakers.
Filmmakers who are interested in screening their movies should contact Ipplepen Film Society chairman Geoff King, email: geoff.king54@googlemail.com
