Ashley Wing and Clayton Fussell want to work with Devon and Cornwall-based cast and crew where possible, and have been doing so on their productions. But how do you dig out the talent… as well as going on the D+CFilm social network, of course
Ashley Wing and Clayton Fussell’s Five Tips on Getting your Cast and Crew together
1.   Advertise everywhere. There are loads of websites you can advertise (Including D+CFilm) and they are free
2.   Don’t use your friends as either cast or crew unless you have no choice. You want to create a professional environment and friendships can get in the way.
3.   Be honest and never offer anything you don’t think you can deliver.
4.   Always try and meet people before you offer them a crew role as it’s important to be able to get on with the people you work with as film sets can be very stressful. In the same vain, always audition actors and get them to do a variety of things at audition to ensure they can take direction, in the context of the character you are considering them for.
