Two young actresses are being sought for the Chagford Filmmaking Group’s Sir Lanval, a 12th century fairytale set in King Arthur’s Court.
Elizabeth-Jane Baldry of the group told D+CFilm: “This is a wonderful opportunity to take part in our seventh film. It is our most ambitious project to date and is being funded by the European Regional Development Fund and South West Screen.
“You’ll get an all-expenses paid trip to France next May and totally fabulous yummy dresses to wear.
“We’re looking for two young actresses to play Aurora and Luned, fairy maidens who weave their way through the story, sometimes visible to the humans and sometimes invisible. It would be good if you have some experience of acting Shakespeare or similar.”
You’ll need to be available for shooting the weekend of October 31 to November 1 this year, and for May 16-30, in 2010.
Informal auditions take place during the afternoon of Friday, October 9 in Chagford, and Elizabeth-Jane has assured us that as always there will be tea and home-made cake to calm the nerves.
