Wwoofing from Robin Whenary on Vimeo.
For this week’s film of the week we’ve returned to South Devon filmmaker Robin Whenary. Why? Because he’s picked up another prize that’s why!
Robin, who’s preparing to shoot David Salas’ Phoenix bursary film Uncomfortable, picked up the Best Cameraman award for his film Wwoofing at the 9th Unprecedented Cinema festival in Estonia.
“It’s a festival of non-commercial films by young filmmakers,” Robin told us at D+CFilm. “They also screened my first film, The Boy, the Bike, and the Apple.”
Wwoofing also picked up second prize in the international section in the Short Film Festival of India, and Robin’s gained further international accolades in Hungary for his film Fear, and has put together a list of deadlines for film festivals throughout the world, over on the D+CFilm social network.
We first came across Wwoofing when it was entered in the D+CFree competition that called on filmmakers to emulate the Free Cinema movement. It was part of Two Short Nights 2007.
