As April Fool’s Day limps into view, we thought it was time to remind you of the April deadlines for film festivals, a full list of which can be found over on the D+CFilm social network. The TV Trust for the Environment film which investigates the impact of climate change on the North Devon Bisophere and a bisosphere reserve in Kenya and is being shown on BBC World will get a number of airings from Beaford Arts throughout North Devon. With Dartmoor’s own Alan Lee rumoured to have had talks with The Hobbit director Guillermo del Toro, we thought we’d bring you news from the Guadalajara International Film Festival, which has Dissecting Fantasies: The Secrets of Guillermo del Toro. The artistic juggernaut that is the Joy Collective is looking for short films made by emerging South West-based artists that deal with one or more of the four natural elements – wind, water, earth, and fire. |
