It’s occasionally worthwhile falling back onto cliches, which is why it’s heartening to say the high quality of films created during the Two Short Nights 48-Hour Film challenge made it difficult to judge. [display_podcast] Award-winning director Jerry Rothwell is set to return to South Devon for this year’s View From Here film festival, which takes place throughout South Devon from December 1 to December 5, when his documentary Heavy Load is shown at the Alexandra Cinema, Newton Abbot, on Thursday, December 4 at 7pm. Unlikely venues in Teignbridge, Torbay and the South Hams are turning themselves over to local filmmakers as part of the View From Here film festival, on Tuesday, December 2. Two Short Nights, at the Exeter Phoenix kicks off on Friday at 6pm with the D+CFilm Open and this year Ben Yates is the artist behind this years Two Short Nights awards (sponsored by your friendly D+CFilm).
