COMEDY LOW DOWN

A comedy film festival is serious business, as you can tell from the recently released line up for next month’s English Riviera International Comedy Film Festival.

The laugh-fest, which runs from September 25 to September 28, will be chuckling around such events as South Hams filmmaker Peter Richardson introducing the first and last Comic Strip Presents features (see above for the five going mad in Dorset) and Shaldon’s own Paul Andrew Williams introducing his film The Cottage.

Funkily, there will be the Groovy Movie Solar Powered Cinema at Torre Abbey Meadows, which, as the name suggests will offer solar-powered film film throughout the festival.

Of course, D+CFilm favourite the Blue Walnut cafe will be central to the events and will be even showing the Manahattan Film Festival films, as well as others, during the event.

For of full listing, which includes the Eat My Shorts competition and the Osaka Bright film festival visit the festival website.

Or, you could get it from the horse’s mouth, with our interview with organiser, Matt Newbury.
