RUFF AND READY
We’re a bit fed up with the subject now but we thought we’d better acknowledge the end of the Alice in Wonderland auditions in Plymouth.
The big news today was that three dogs were also cast in the Tim Burton flick, who will apparently be paid for their time.
Along with the mutts, some 1,200 wannabes were also given the thumbs up, offering potential Alice extras a one in five chance of making it to the big screen.
They’ll now have to wait for three weeks to hear whether they made it to the next stage: the shooting, which will take place at undisclosed locations around Plymouth in September.
The live action and CGI flick, part of Burton’s new two-picture deal with Disney, is due for release in 2010 and will be shown in 3-D.
