PLEAS AND QUEUES

Things got pretty exciting at the Alice in Wonderland auditions in Plymouth this afternoon when casting agents told hundreds of people in the queue ‘no more today’.

Auditionees (auditioners?) will now have to wait until casting resumes tomorrow (Thursday) at 10am.

According to the Plymouth Herald, some 300 people have already been accepted into the auditions and a further 300 people have been turned away.

Just before casting closed for the day the casting team were handing out notes saying either ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Those who were given notes saying ‘yes’ have been asked to come back tomorrow.

There’s still chance to get involved though. D+Cineastes who fancy a shot at movie stardom should be at Plymouth’s New Continental Hotel tomorrow from 10am (or even earlier than that, we’re saying).

There is a minimum age limit of 16 and every participant must bring their passports.

The casting agents are looking for girls with long hair and men with natural styles.

Shooting for the multi-million pound film, rumoured to starĀ  Johnny ‘cheekbones for hire’ Depp, will take place in Plymouth in September for two weeks.
